A Perfectly Pemberton Wedding Featuring: Chelsea & Phil

Chelsea and Phil, locals to Pemberton BC, choose Big Sky Golf Club for their Pemberton wedding because of its proximity to their home, family and friends as well as the venues dramatic location at the base of Mt Ts'zil.

Rather than opting for a specific theme for their Pemberton wedding, Chelsea and Phil placed emphasis on supporting local when making decisions about their day. The result was a beautifully curated day brought to life by local vendors, featuring local products.

When it came to their Pemberton wedding flowers, Chelsea opted for natural simplicity and a classic white and green colour palette. The blooms for her bouquet were grown especially by a close friend with a beautiful flower garden in the Pemberton Meadows. The day before the wedding, we met and walked the field, drank coffee and harvested the blooms that Chelsea felt most drawn too. The result was a wild, spontaneous bridal bouquet created using a combination of Peonies, Cress, Nigella and Japanese Anemones.

Bridesmaids Bouquets

For her bridesmaids bouquets, Chelsea opted for a mono-bloom style design created solely from Gypsophilia. Instead of a traditional round Gypsophilia cloud, Ninebark created a more unusual organic shape for the bouquets and tied then with soft sage ribbon, thoughtful touches that complimented both the shape and style of Chelsea’s bouquet and the groomsmen’s suits.

Ceremony Flowers

The elegant wedding ceremony was held on the eighteen hole of Big Sky Golf Course where Phil, a carpenter by trade, constructed a beautiful triangular wedding arch under which to marry Chelsea. The arch was later re-used by the couple in their Pemberton garden. To add the finishing touch to the sentimental piece, Ninebark created wedding arch flowers using a combination of Peonies, Cress and Cornus branches to create simple, elegant designs.

Reception Flowers

Finally, when it came to Reception flowers, the couple chose greenery garlands handmade from fragrant eucalyptus and olive that lined the tables and brought a fresh scent to Fescues restaurant in the Club House at Big Sky.
