When first starting out with your wedding planning some parts of the puzzle can seem more confusing than others...trust me, I get it. I also got engaged in 2025 and am planning a destination wedding. I'm confused, and I specialize in wedding flowers!

Flowers can seem particulararly mysterious as they are not something that you buy everyday...how much do these things even cost?!

From the start it's important to remember that are three main elements that will ultimately influence the final cost of your florals:

1. The size of your wedding party (those bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnières and corsages will all add up).

2. The number of guests you are inviting (the final number of arrangements for your Reception tables can make up a significant portion of the budget).

3. The location of your wedding. Things like having your ceremony and reception at separate venues or having a remote location (like the top of a mountain) mean that more work is required to get your florals in place.

In addition, just like your wedding outfits, your rings or your menu, remember that the more tailoring and personalization you need, and the fancier the materials required, the more expensive the final cost is likely to be.

Rather than price lists, which don't provide flexibility for individuality, Ninebark has two tiers of pricing based on the size of your guest list. These prices are based on thirteen years of experience specializing in weddings and knowledge of what is required to create the original and refined designs that we are known for. Each tier has a minimum spend which takes into account all the elements that will bring your florals to life (including labour) and are based on the Ceremony and Reception being in the same venue and within Whistler or Pemberton.

Tier 1: Intimate - For weddings of twenty guests or under. Minimum spend $2,500 CAD. Average spend $2,500- $4,500 CAD.

Tier 2: Iconic - For larger weddings, over twenty guests and generally up to one hundred and fifty guests. Minimum spend $5,000 CAD. Average spend $7,000-$12,000 CAD

Where
to Start?
What
am I
getting?
After costs, the other perplexing question is how do you know what you are getting, what will the arrangements even look like if you can't see or touch them before the day?

To help take away the fear of the unknown, after meeting with you and learning more about your wedding, Ninebark provides a personal Lookbook for all our couples that will help you picture our designs ideas. The aim is to give you a visual and get you excited, rather than nervous, about your wedding florals! Think of it like a collection of designs (with clear pricing) created just for you, where you can pick and choose the styles that work best for your budget and vibe.

Here are some examples of concepts from real life Lookbook's and images of the final installations for context...

How are
we going
to pay
for this?!
The difference between a good designer and an experienced one is that an experienced designer can create beautiful work on budget, knowing where to go big and where to reign things in. What that looks like will be different for every wedding.

While Ninebark can't tell you where to find the money to pay for your wedding flowers (we know money dosent grow on trees- if it did we would use a lot more branches in our work), we spread the cost of your florals out into two payments, a deposit and then final balance. For most weddings these payments are due three to six months apart, meaning you have time to balance the books.
